NASA Bitumen Undercoat is a specially formulated product designed to protect the under body parts of vehicles from rust and corrosion. It provides a thick, elastic protective layer that shields against road salt, rainwater, ice, snow, weak acids, and bases.
Uses:
Ideal for re-touching of underbodies, wheel arches, chassis rails, off-road vehicles, trucks, and caravans.
Can also be used to seal leaking gutters and patch roofs.
Applicable to various parts of machinery, as well as steel, aluminum, and fiberglass, to protect them from rust and corrosion.
Directions For Use:
Remove all traces of oil, grease, or dirt. Eliminate oil paint and loose rust using steel wool or a wire brush.
Clean the area to be coated, removing all dirt, oil, and debris. If necessary, thoroughly dry the area. Remove any previous surface coatings with a wire brush and abrasive paper.
Shake the can vigorously before use. Apply in smooth strokes from 8-12 inches away. For enhanced corrosion protection, please apply minimum 3 coats to protect completely.
After use, invert the can and press the actuator for a few seconds to prevent nozzle blockage.
Provides protection for up to 2 years after application.
Precautions:
Store at room temperature.
Turn off the engine before use.
Wear a mask and gloves while using the product.
Do not spray near firearms or where firearms are stored.
The contents are highly flammable and under pressure.
Do not puncture or incinerate the can.
Do not wash the coated surface with solvents or kerosene oil after application, as this will void the protection and it will remove the Undercoat layer from the parts.
